10 QSO Logger User Update

Scope:

This page details the user updates that will be requried to make 10 QSO Logger compatible with the new Weak Signal Event that will take effect starting in July 2021.

 

Purpose:

This step by step instruciton will guide the user on updting the Event Table to add in the Weak Signal Event and then update the Mode table to add the additional modes the user will require to support this new event, and any futne events.

 

Instructions:

Event Update Procedure:

 

  1. Open your Current build of 10 QSO Logger.
  2. Click on File->Update Databases->Events.( or Press Ctrl-F1).
  3. You should display a dialog similar to Figure 1.
  4. In the top navigation bar, click the Add Button.  That will be the button with the Plus symbol.
  5. A new empty line at the bottom of the table will be created. In the Name column, enter the name of the event - Weak Signal. Enter this with the exact same upper and lower case.  Failue to enter the proper name and casing will case errors in scoring the event.
  6. In  the email column, enter This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..
  7. Repeat steps 4 - 6 for any additional event you need to add.
  8. Click the X in the upper right corner of the decoration bar to exit and close the dialog.  This will also update the table source.

Mode Update Procedure:

  1. Open your Current build of 10 QSO Logger.
  2. Click on File->Update Databases->Modes.( or Press Ctrl-F4).
  3. You should display a dialog similar to Figure 2.
  4. In the top navigation bar, click the Add Button.  That will be the button with the Plus symbol.
  5. A new empty line at the bottom of the table will be created. In the Name column, enter the name of the new mode, in uppercase.  i.e. FT4.
  6. Repeat steps 4 - 5 for any additional modes you need to add.
  7. Click the X in the upper right corner of the decoration bar to exit and close the dialog.  This will also update the table source.
